A relaxed and easy newborn experience
All you need to bring is the love.
Lifestyle newborn sessions are great for capturing the love of your family and new addition in the comfort of your own home. You don’t need to worry about trying to get out the door with your baby (and possibly other kids) in tow. Have animals? I love them and they should be part of the shoot too! Adding a newborn to your family can come with all sorts of new challenges, so let me come to you!

These sessions are all about lifestyle, so you'll never see any extreme posing of your newborn. Instead I love capturing your families love, your babies newness, and all the little details in their nursery, with their siblings, etc. You'll spend most of your time cuddling with your new one and I build in a bit of extra time for diaper blow outs, feeding sessions, and any other obstacles that may come your way with a new one.
What is the best age for my newborn to be?
If you are looking to get as much newness as possible I typically say within the first 2-6 weeks.
Why do you photograph newborns at home?
Because who doesn’t want VIP treatment? As a new parent (or seasoned one) it’s really hard to get out the door with everyone and all the stuff. Make it easy on yourself, pour yourself another cup of coffee and let me take care of you.
My home isn't perfect, what do I do?
With your permission, I can move things around to make it happen. You don’t need to have a Pinterest worthy home. All I ask is just a quick pick up of things and that’s it. Nothing too crazy!
What if my baby cries?
First off, that’s going to happen. Babies will be babies. That being said, that’s why I build in extra time for nursing sessions, poopy diapers and more. We can always take a break if we need to.
Will you pose my baby or use props?
Not really. I will place them in a bed or crib but I really let them do their own thing. I love simple and natural. Other than a Moses basket I use for outdoor session, I do not use any props at all.
What about animals?
I love pets, so happy to have them join in!
Can I invite the grandparents?
Absolutely! This time is just as exciting for them as it is for you.
What if my other kids are crazy during the session?
They probably will be and I’m totally okay with it. No need to worry. As the professional, I know how to keep everyone happy.
Why does the session depend on the weather if it’s indoors?
I only use natural light. If it’s too stormy outside and I don’t have a lot of light, the images are going to look downright gloomy.

With an infant and two toddlers, I didn't know how it would go, but she was great at helping my children feel comfortable and have fun with the photos. They were sad when Sara had to leave, because they wanted her to join us for doughnuts after the photo session :). The photos she gave us are beautiful, and I can't wait to display them in our home and share them with friends and family!

Typically within the first 6 weeks after birth, I'll capture all the "details" of your littlest one. Sessions typically last up to 75 minutes.
You'll receive a style guide and wardrobe consultation, as well as 40 hand-edited, high-resolution images in a private gallery. These images consist of a curated gallery mix of joyful candids, detail images of your newest one, and classic portraits.
Combine with a maternity session for extra savings!
